Cadetship has a lot of rules and regulations to which all cadets are bound to join and follow the laws of command. As in most Maritime Academies, the blue uniform is given to newbie cadets who have ascended and proven to be both physically and mentally feet to go by the standard rule. Regular citizens won't dress like this for they have no business to it.

The big deal of being an officer is basically because of its advantages;
During my time, cadets were not allowed to use phones unless authorized to do so or they have passed out and are now cadet officers. walking from 6:00 am to 5:59 pm is not allowed for newbie cadets. As our commander will say," Be the embodiment of our self-will, by making our desire your desire and you will see the path we have put in place for you". The program is complex and tough especially when you don't keep to the timing; as latecomers are punished as the rule states it.

Cadet training is nothing different from regular training or any other sports exercise. its potential and effectiveness lie in the endurance of the cadet(s) on training. For example; it is difficult for a newbie racer to race with a pro racer and hope to win at a go. As there is a lack of experience in both mind and body.

Physical training and might is purposely the difference between a cadet and a regular citizen, who has not gone through such a training partaking to get a job in the maritime industry. Of course, there are jobs that for which non-train citizens can partake in, But most jobs these days do not consider who you are but what you can do to better off their business.

To round up,  what is mainly recommended of cadets are;
  1. Discipline
  2. Respect
  3. Obedience
  4. Gentleness
  5. Self-confidence
  6. Hard work
  7. United with other mates ( UNITY )

An attempt to a port with no documents

Most people in this generation think that without the right documents or requirements they can't have access to what they want. Even though they might find something more important than what they are looking for on the way. Regardless, it's true but to an extent that can only be determined by the situation and character of the person at stake. “ Not long ago, I decided to go visit the port of Ghana for an internship program to cover the practical side of my course as a to-be Seafarer. I mailed the port for the recommendations but I wasn't emailed back. So I asked my seniors for advice which they gave me happily. I required just a school note which contained my name, course, level of education, and the signature of the vice-chancellor. I made a copy and deposited it at the post office.     The next day, my elder brother sent me a message to come and collect a package which he deposited at the port for me. On my way to the port, they were so many roads to ...
